If you are in treatment, or have completed treatment and are reentering life in the community, we have housing options for you. Our recovery housing for men and women is safe, supportive and drug- and alcohol-free. It gives you transition time after detoxification or rehabilitation to find a job, get peer support for recovery outside of treatment, and ultimately begin a new life.
• You and a case manager will decide on housing as part of your treatment program. You may enter Stella Maris’s own housing or be referred to other good, sober options in Cleveland or your home area.
• Men: If you are in Stella Maris’s PHP, IOP and recovery-management programs, you may live in our 46-bed dormitory* on campus. Click here to read more. If you have completed all phases of treatment, you may live in our safe, sober 10-bed house.
• Women: In the 2 weeks of PHP and the first 2 weeks of IOP, you may live in our secure, 9-bed house. Then case managers will help you find other, safe, sober places to live while you finish treatment. Stella Maris operates an 8-bed house which may be an option if you have completed treatment at this or another agency in the region.
• Men residing in Supportive Housing and women in Women’s Recovery House are eligible to participate in the Job Preparation & Placement Program.
*Professional facts: According to standards set by Ohio Recovery Housing (ORH), Stella Maris’s men’s dorm is certified as a Level 3 recovery housing. ORH, in turn, follows National Alliance of Recovery Residences (NARR) credentialing standards. We are seeking similar ORH accreditation, at appropriate levels, for the men’s house and both women’s houses. Each house is staffed by a full-time manager.
