The David G. Weinberger Benevolent Fund
Funny, compassionate, caring, a loving son, brother, uncle and father. David also had a huge heart. Stella Maris was a very important part of David Weinberger's life- journey where he spent hours of his time talking with and helping the men at Stella Maris who were struggling from the disease of addiction. Sadly, David lost his own battle November 2, 2021.
In his honor, David's family has established the "David G. Weinberger Benevolent Fund" at Stella Maris. This fund is used to provide the men in Stella Maris' supportive housing with OTC medications, bus passes, toiletries, clothing, shoes and other necessary items they need as they continue to work towards independent lives free of substances.
